Join our dynamic Medical/Surgical team as a Travel Registered Nurse in Portsmouth, VA. This exciting role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population in a city renowned for its rich history and beautiful waterfront.
Job Details
- Location: Portsmouth, VA
- Duration: 13 weeks (7/28/2025 - 10/25/2025)
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg setting
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam at orientation
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with conditions such as CHF, renal failure, COPD, seizures, and sepsis
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
- Utilize medical devices and equipment, including foleys, PIVs, PICCs, and wound vacs
- Serve as a patient and safety advocate within the unit
