Job Details
- Location: Mechanicsville, VA 23116
- Start Date: July 7, 2025
- End Date: October 4, 2025
- Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend and major holidays required
- Unit: 21-bed PCU/Stepdown Unit
- Patient Population: Cardiac, vascular, general surgical, renal, end-stage respiratory, sepsis
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must pass Advanced Arrhythmia Exam at Orientation
- Proficient in lab draws and IVs
- 1 year of RN experience required, with 6 months in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with policies
- Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams
- Serve as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Manage care for patients with multi-system organ failure and trauma
- Utilize the AACN Synergy Model to maintain patient stability
- Respond to rapidly changing patient conditions with confidence
